Wharf Bar, Walsall, Sergison Bates

http://www.sergisonbates.co.uk/catalogue_2.htm

Initially a competition entry in 1996, using the "ASDA shed" as precedent. Sergison Bates subsequently explore what it is to make a public house. The project can also be viewed in light of its attempt to comment on the context of Walsall as described by Hugh Perman, "anywheresville, provincial chain-store land...."
